Follow posted speed limits.

When approaching an unregulated intersection, slow to 15 MPH and look both ways before proceeding.

Use your turn indicators.

Look before changing lanes or turning. Proceed only if it is safe.

Be polite to other drivers. If other drivers are impolite to you, DO NOT try to retaliate. Let it go.

If oncoming traffic can even possibly make it unsafe to execute a left turn, DO NOT turn. A few seconds can make the difference between a safe turn and a crash.

DO NOT wait until the light is against you. DO NOT stay in the intersection while opposing traffic is trying to move.

Good luck, and I hope to see you on the road.

Make sure you stop behind the line at stops
Near the DMV where I took my test, there were areas where you could not see down the road very far. You are expected to stop behind the line, which no one ever does, then creep ahead to see when it is clear.
