Being able to speak your mind no matter what. Let others know your opinion and never let anyone stop you. Thats what freedom means to me. :)

that can be a very difficult question, because freedom to different people mean different things. Many of the citizens take for granted our freedoms in the US. I am very thankful for our military who have protected our freedoms... without whom who knows what conditions I'd be living in today.

to me it means the right to live where I want to with the ability of going to places I wish to. It also means to live in a world free of persecution because of my beliefs or by me exercising my freedom of speech.

I can choose the job I wish, I can choose not to work if I desire. I have the right to raise a family. I have a say in my government officials (which I am questioning now). I have the freedom to vote for who I want to... I have the ability to run for a political position should I choose.

I have the choice of what I do with my money and basically do what I want to do when and where I want to, as long as I do not infringe on others rights or break the law.

the list can go on and on. It will be interesting seeing some of your other responses

The right to dissent. I think that's the most important thing a government can provide. We should have the right to dissent in any non violent form we chose.

Freedom to me doesn't mean the right to do anything I want whenever I want, to me it means the right to open discourse with the people who make the rules without fear of persecution. I believe in the right to the press, the right to protest, the right to free religion, and the right to strike as intrinsic parts of American freedom and freedom in general.

Freedom to me means that you have the right to do what you want when you want and without anyone else saying anything about what you have done.

freedom means to me the ability to make my own decisions in life and be able to shape my own life. It means being able to voice my opinions without worry of the consequences.

Freedom means to me:

I can wear what I want
listen to what music I want
Pick my own religion
Vote

Be who I want to be
Live where I want to live
Marry who I want to marry
And be created equal to my neighbor

It means not living under the tyranny of a home owner's association.

It means free speech instead of free speech "zones".

It means being able to do what you want with your own body (abortion)
