I read some of the other answers before replying and noticed that they understood the question to be ' what WAS your best holiday and why. I read it to mean what IS your best holiday and why.
There is a difference.
And so, my answer. The greatest celebration i feel every year is the rebirth of life in my little part of the planet, Easter .
And so, at Easter, I sigh a great relief that I will see the earth bloom once again and smell the sea and see the animals and walk and wonder (wander)for a while more.
Holidays are a respite from everyday living and thinking. All of them are dedicated for one reason or another to men and women of great wisdom and vision and insight into the condition of humanity.
God bless them
And you
Some people would argue, if you really want to celebrate a holiday then sit down in a quiet place for 1 hour and become THAT person long enough to feel the pain, and the joy, and understand the courage it took to stand alone against the world.
I wish you well and pray that somewhere in these words there is something that will make your life greater than you believe you are

I can tell you it was not Antigua or Lorrette Da Mar (Spain) hated both of those places.
I really enjoyed Furaventura picture this its my honeymoon but I had allready asked my new husband for a divorce so I also paid to take my mates and their children. Some guy wanted to buy me for 80 camels.
I loved Amsterdam ( I did not go to look at the tulips of the cheese factories)
Loved Isle of Man TT races.
Had a great time at Butlins in Skegness as I had found my otherhalfs family and we went with them on holiday, he had not seen his family sice he was 6, 33 years ago.
Loved Belguim even though they had had the worst weather in over 10 years 1997 and I got wet and had to put the tent in a disused hanger and the motornike was running on only 3 cylinders.
Ibiza was great stayed in the nicer part, fun warm and cheap booze.
But best holiday had to be, with my partner who just got the results of his DNA test and found out he had a 5 year old boy and I took them both camping, he bonded with his son and this little boy is so nice and loving. We were at Donnington watching the car racing, free entry tickets.
So it does not matter how much you spend its what you get out of it. I got to see the pleasure on my partners face of him bonding with his little boy.

The holiday I love is Christmas and Easter. My reason is because I like to give even though I may not recieve, christmas is fun and festive, it is the only time of the year where you recieve something nice and spend time with family. And with Easter it is fun and very bright. Easter is a good time for kids to go out and have fun and it is also a time to get dressed up.

Playa Del Carmen in Mexico. It was the last holiday that my Mum and I had, before she died of cancer. It was her dream to climb Chitchinitza, and she bloody did it. I was more worn out than her!! Afterwards we sat on this rock and she told me all about her life - It was an amazing moment, as I had never really talked to her before and it gave me all the closure I needed. We spent the rest of the holiday chilling out on the beach. It was paradise and I have very fond memories of Mexico. Beautiful country, beautiful, people and beautiful scenery. I am returning next year to do some travelling as I want to see more of it.
