Well this is a hard thing for a parent to grasp ,My son 20 just let me know 7 months ago ,I have never downed him .but as a mom I did have to tell him what the bible says ,he cried and said mom I don't want to go to hell .so I tell him how much, I love him I don't agree with his life style ,but that's ok as long as he don't push it on me ,He may not like mine .I love my son and its just hard for a parent ,ok and before I fully believed even tho he was telling me he left stuff pictures on my computer and then there was no more doubt ,not bad pics but enough to say yes he is living this life style .I don't like to judge people so I pray for God to show me with my son ,because my son says, he always has been this since he can remember .I ask God to help me .so wish you the best .

he will always love you but probably will not except fully that you are gay, if I were to become gay it would be the same way for me too. Remember the line in American Beauty when the military man says to his son tha thas just told him that he was gay, remember what he says...."I'd rather you be dead than a f u cking fa g got."

you can't make your dad accept you for being gay. He will have to come to accept you in his own way and in is own time. Just be his son, answer any questions he has, no mater how silly or personal they seems.
Good luck

May be it is time you and your dad, had a heart to heart talk. Tell him, it is no disrespect to him, but you just want to be honest with him, of course do not go into a lot of details. But tell him your preference is men, say that you have tried woman, but that is just not me, say I hope that you can understand, and except me for what I am.

Just be yourself. And you don't have to flaunt it. It takes time I know, but show him there is dignity in being gay by living your life clean and good (gay clean and good, that is) as it can get.

give him time. it is difficult for most parents to accept their children gayness. If he loves you, he will accept you. Maybe he will not be happy about it, but he will in time come to terms with your sexuality
