Wow! There are some really bad answers here. First of all, we all know you care about your baby. Or you would not have posted this question. I have been a smoker for 2 years. I quit once for a week. It was the hardest thing ever. I do believe if you keep the nicotene in your body through patches or gum, in only prolongs the quitting. My advice would be to quit cold turkey. Its the only way. The nicotene will be out of your body in 24 hours, where you will start having withdrawals. But there are ways to work around that. Try taking an advil (since you might have a headache) and just take it easy for a few days. Try quitting cold turkey on a weekend. That way you have some time off work to just be lazy all weekend. Also, do whatever you can in your power to never EVER have a puff again.

gum, hypnosis, tapes all of them at once, and dont be alone much if you can avoid it, and dont hang about with smokers.
