All songs are not recognizable by their music only. I want you really think...
and name some that you think are.

yes. "Hurts so good" is one, "Possession" by Sarah Mclachlan is another, "Walk like an Egyptian", "Hotel California", "Baby I love you" (Aretha), Those are the only ones that immediately come to mind. I'm sure there are many more.
Some songs are hard to tell by the music only, because a lot of songs, for instance some other Eagles songs, Bad Company songs or some Journey songs, the music tends to sound similar across a few different songs. For the 3 groups mentioned, by the music, I can identify the band, but not necessarily the song.

All the time. And there are some that are recognizable to many just after a couple of bars
ex: Back in Black (AC/DC), Smoke on the Water (Deep Purple)

I say yes . The bands sound are different as like our voices are not the same you can't sit there and tell me if you heard the music to a metallica song then an ac/dc song you would be mixed up .The sound of the bands instruments speak out in a different sound just as if they were voices .

Also... anything popular on the radio, since they play them over and over and over and over again until you just want to ripp off your ears....
