Maybe for the white clothes, most dishwasher detergents have bleach in them.

I think that dishwasher detergent won't dissolve except in really hot water. You will end up with grit on the clothes from the undissolved detergent. Then you will need to rewash them to get that off.

Try taking your cup in hand and begging a cup of detergent from your neighbor. It isn't like you are asking them for the crown jewels or anything.

No. It will damage your washer. Dishwasher det. is very corrosive. Put off washing clothes until you can buy the right kind of detergent.

Got any regular liquid dishsoap? Or even shampoo. Dishwasher detergent has bleach in it.

Yes, just rinse them twice because the soap doesn't always dissolve all the way & it gets stuck in your clothes!

I would try washing in bath tub with it. Heck ya Ive had to do it

Sure, it's kind of expensive but it should do the trick in a pinch.
