It is natural. It is hormones. They are pesty and annoying. Take up a sport and try to keep your mind off it.

Its normal for an 11 year old to want to feel old enough to have this relationship. But its not normal FOR an 11 year old to have this relationship (make sense?) Most pre-teens want to feel more mature and like they can do these things. However they can not and should not, I feel like an 11 year old needs to focus on her school work, and growing up first. If you are her friend, mother, sister, whatever...advise her not to get into this situation. And hopfully she's looking to want to have a boyfriend of her own age as well, if she's being pushed to have a relationship from an older guy at this age. Could be illegal, I'd tell her to wait and not rush into life. GOOD LUCK!

I think all kids have little "crushes" on the opposite sex, but it can be verrry dangerous to get into a real relationship at this age. It is especially scary because an 11-year old cannot possibly understand all the consequences of relationships, especially when they become physical. Research suggests that the younger kids are when they start dating, the more likely they are to have sex, get pregnant and get sexually-transmitted diseases before they finish high school! Don't start too young, please. Encourage your friend to wait...you'll have years to date and have fun, but now is not the time! For now, enjoy all your friends, but don't pair off with any one person. It is just too dangerous!

It is some what normal for young girls to want a boyfriend. Most young boys are not interested in girls yet, I dont think. You are however to young for a ACTUAL relationship as you put it. Just be friends, nobody can have to many friends. Take your time and wait for that big relationship till you are older. I have seen to many young girls around that age end up pregnant. Dont fall to pressure about this. I would hate to see you or any young girl destroy there life or there families over what they say is love.

At 11, she is no where near of having a "actual" relationship. Puppy love? Sure why not. She needs a hobby, or a sport for her to keep her busy.
At 11 I was still playing Barbies, what ever happened to the good ol days :)

Yeah, it's normal. Plenty of those kind of desires. Uhh, reality check. Too many chick flick movies today that make affect the young brains! Anywayss, I think that having a boyfriend, an "ACTUAL" boyfriend at 11.. is quite unimportant. Think ahead.. what will happen? Just think first. And then, you'll feel better and hopefully that will impede those thoughts until you're older..

It is normal to have an 11 year old to want a boyfriend. i wanted a boyfriend when i was 9! But an actual relationship might be unrealistic. In the girl's head, it may seem plausible to her to have a real relationship. But when she tries to have one, she'll realize that she is too young to have a serious relationship, and she'll probably realize that by herself.

These days what is normal???? But in all seriousness, she is too young to be even considering having an thing more than a hand-holding crush. Maybe she is missing compassion or love from her parents and is seeking this fulfillment in an actual boyfriend-girlfriend type relationship.

Normal is whatever the person is doing.
What is normal to you may not be normal to others...
Sexual relationship should probably be stopped just because it is too young to make good choices.
Just fun boyfriend and girlfriend stuff at that age is good and helps them get to know how the other side acts.
??? What can I say ???
When is it ok ??? 12 ? 13 ? 14 ? 45 ?

I had a valentine partner in Kindergarden.
Actual relationship? Like what? Go out on dates? Get engaged? Eleven yrs old is barely over a baby. She needs to focus on schoolwork and getting thru jr high and HS and don't deal with guys yet until at least 16 yrs old.
Why in such a dad-gum hurry? Enjoy being a kid!!!!!

11yrs old is a little young to be having a relationship. Right now she need to focus on other things. I am sure her parents would not allow her to be involved in a relationship at her age. The relationship would be more trouble than its worth. When you have to hide and sneak from your parents things dont really turn out right.
