It is not about the number of questions but the quality of your question that is important.

Do your research and prepare a handful of questions. 20-30 minutes interview is very short. Chances are you wouldn't get to ask more than 1. However, you want to make sure you have plenty so that there is no dead silent.

After your first question, you can ask follow up questions based on his/her reply. This way, not only you are showing interest but also means that you are paying close attention. Follow up questions are better quality than random babbles.

Best of luck.

Maybe, about three to five questions. They will tell you about the positon and something about the company. Make sure you research the company before your interview. You can ask them at least three questions. Just relax and take deep breaths. Good Luck!

depending on long the answer are:
i would make a list of questions that i want to ask and put in order of importance that you want to hear.......some of the less important questions i would put on paper and have the person answer prior to the interview....maybe when they arrive, ask them to fill out this paper, and then you can read over in the last minutes of the interview, and if you want more response you can ask at that time.........
