The people? No. The rulers of North Korea? Hell yes.
North Korea has been most unfortunate in its rulers since 1945. Not only were they Communist (actually Leninist) but insane.
How did they last for 60+years? Simple; terror and information control.
The people, as people, are probably not bad, just normal. Of course, they should be considered Klingons, as their education, news, etc all assumes Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il are perfect, and their ideas are fabulous. When North Korea and South Korea merge, a massive education effort is going to have to be aimed at the North Koreans to teach them how much of what they learned is insane bullshit.
Their leaders, on the other hand, need to go to the International War Crimes Tribunal, get convicted, and sentenced to watch Fox News for the rest of eternity.
Any country ruled by a madman is dangerous, and Kim Jong Il is a madman, and the son of a madman. North Korea has been accused of forgery and dealing drugs to raise money for their nukes. North Korea ADMITTED to kidnapping Japanese citizens so North Korean spies could work effectively in Japan. North Korea does things no other country would consider rational, such as not admitting a massive famine in the country (1995, 1996, etc).

The North Korean people are not the problem. They are suffering under a brutal dictatorship, a lot of them are in prison or dead because they spoke out against their government. Their leader and his friends are the ones we and the rest of the world have a problem with. They're trying to push the nuclear envelope and possibly start WW III. If God is going to end the world soon, he'd better hurry before that crew cut haired lunatic beats him to it.

Most of those asian countries are pretty corrupt but I think they are doing nuclear things so the will get money from other governments to make them stop.
If everyone just ignored them nothing would happen it's not like they have nuclear ICBMs ready to launch... keep on eye on them I say but until they start actively creating intercontinental ballistic missles or any other type of bomb with nuclear warheads then leave them alone... treat them like a naughty child don't give them the attention they want

YES!!!! i do not want to talk abbout N. korea cause if i start to talk bout it, i just want to KILL the president!!!!! anyways, i think n.korea is a bad country cause the persident wanted to send a misle to america, japan, s. korea. plus i am a korean and my father is planning to go to korea for a visit and they might send a misle that time. if i could, i want to send a misle to NORTH KOREA! also, they did a test if the bomb was affect enough or no. thats all i got BYE!

Ummm because Kim Jong ding dong has a Napoleon complex and is having a mid-life nuclear weapons crisis. Why do all the soldiers try to look so in synch? That freaks me out!

No, North Korea is NOT a bad country but its leader is. He is one big cracked evil pot for testing the nuclear missile. See all the trouble he has gotten his country into, and to add insult to injury, he wants to declare war!

I'm sure many of the people are fine. It's their government that is evil. I would imagine that if the NK government gave the people the choice and the knowledge, then they would kick out "communism" (so they call it) SO fast. One big problem is that the NK government is restricting their access to info so harshly, so many of these people have NO CLUE what other form of government there is.

any country where 90% of the people walk around with their eyes closed is in my book a bad country. I couldn't imagine if they smoked marijuana, oh my gosh!
