he may not have been a great pitcher but he was a great guy...he will be sorely missed

Wow, that is so sad. I hate the Yankee's but I remember lidle most when he was on the Phillies and Bluejays.

I'm a Mets fan too and I remember him from when he was with the Mets a few years ago. This is very sad.

Very sad. Was a fan back when he pitched for Oakland. It sucked when he left us for Toronto, and I kind of lost track of him until he ended up in NY. It's really a shame...

I'm a Mets fan but I think it's such a tragedy when anyone dies,especially so young & with a wife & child.

i didn't know who he was but how sad for his family and for the flight instructor's family. ESPN was showing footage of him flying his plane back in April. May he rest in peace.
