You simply dress respectfully, nothing to low or sexy more classic. Now a days not everyone wears black to a funneral, it is appropriate but many people attend funeral in button up conservative clothes. Basically the family only cares that you show your respect and appreciates your love and support. At my own Mothers funeral I wore a beautiful Pink St. John because I knew she would know that is who her daughter was "filled with life and color."
However if you must buy something, try Marshalls, TJ Max, White House Black Market, Ann Taylors and first look for a black skirt or suit on Sale. Peace be with you.

darling there really is no longer any proper style to wear to a funeral so long as it isn't outrageous. If you have tight dress pants simply wear a nice shirt with them and perhaps a jacket or sweater. The thing to remember at funerals is that you don't want to draw attention to yourself. So avoid bright colours and patterns. Another option you might have is to rent a suit for the day. Any mens rental shop will have an array of suits besides formal wear that would be suitable.

TARGET or WALMART! those are the best prices. and pretty good pricing..
Macys is also good with clothing. some of their stuff is sky high as price goes, but u get a lot of good discounts and get a dress at a resonable price!
im sorry =[ for the FunErAL
some tips...
wear black shoes!
oviously u know this, but it has to be said: WEAR BLACK
i would suggest a dress, but a skirt set would be good too!
although if its the loss of a little kid. maybe go brighter, its like living in their spirit i think its what they do these days...
& keep it simple. a simple black floor lenght dress with a pretty neckline looks great!
carry a black handbag, and u can never go wrong with long black dangly earings! keep the jewelry off though. just earings . same with makeup, very simple!
& put ur hair up in a messy bun i think it would look good. but its ur call.

Cato
TJ Maxx
Target
Marshalls
Ross
or go to Wal*mart - and buy a brown, black , Grey skirt by George which is about 15-16 dollars
buy a George shirt about 9-13 dollars
and that could be your reasonable outfit for about 20-30 dollars
the George clothing line is reasonable and fashionable and you'll look like you spent a lot of money at Dillard's or Macy*s

Most chain stores will have something nice for your to wear, I've even worn black slacks to a funeral. I suppose it depends on who this person was too you. Good luck and I am sorry for your loss.

Forever 21 and Ross have good buys. I have been to a lot of funerals and you don't have to wear black so if you have some nice business attire in a subdued color that would be okay and you wouldn't have to buy anything new.

You can check at Target. They have some nice things that are not expensive at all. Sometimes, your bigger department stores (Dillards, JC Penney, etc.) will have more inexpensive clothing, too.

I love long skirts. My bf prefers the short ones. So my closet is crammed w/ 1/2 and 1/2.
