help with my hair?

Question

im letting a bad perm grow out..the problem is it looks flat now... are hot rollers effective ?/ im terrrible with curling irons.. how do i use hot rollers??

Dry your hair thoroughly, take small strands of hair and put the end on the roller. Roll it over or under, just as long as you cover the ends of your hair with the hair that you're rolling. Make the rolls as tight as they'll hold. When you're all rolled up, you can spritz (and I do mean spritz, the key is to achieve a light allover mist) some hairspray or something that'll hold the style. Let your hairspray dry and wait until the rollers feel cool. Let them down carefully, starting from the nape of the neck going up. Whatever you do, do not brush through them! If you need, just lightly separate with your fingers and place strands as you like.

Depends on the texture of your hair but this probably won't curl it, just give it great body and make your hair look better while you grow the perm out.

To be perfectly honest, I would just straighten the hair with a blow dryer or flat iron (straightner) at this point. I have had many perms in my life so I understand the stage that the perm is in right now. I have found more luck with just leaving it straight, rather than trying to get it to curl.

If you do not like the straight look then I can suggest a couple of things that seemed to work with my hair. There is a hair spray product out that is called Aussie spray and curl. I found that this really helped to get my curl to curl up properly. You can find this product at wal mart for about 4 dollars, it comes in a purple bottle, and has a picture of a kangaroo on the front. If you do not like products like hair spray then I suggest getting a curling shampoo. I think Herbal essencess just came out with one. I have found that these types of shampoos are helpful. But the real trick is when you get out of the shower dry and brush your hair out, then scrunch it upside down with the down, then blow dry it while scrunching. Again, the best way to get the curl to hold is to use either a gel, or spray, but again, if you do not like to use products like these then the towel scrunching method works okay.

I have tried hot rollers, but i think they are a pain in the butt, they seems to get easily tangled in your hair. Aside from that I think it is too time consuming. Hope this helps!!

been there, done that! if you cant use a curling iron then try the hot rollers. it took me some time to master the hot roller but i finally got it. i dont know the length of your hair but i have medium length hair that falls just below my shoulders. i use the biggest rollers on top and go down. I dont use the smallest rollers AT ALL. they give crazy curls. but you should experiment with your hair to see what hot rollers can do for you :)

hot rollers should help if you are sure to use a heat activated smoothing product. you could also try a flat iron.
also remember, moisture moisture moisture!!! use plenty conditioner. your hair is weak and you need to work on repairing your hair and keep your new hair healthy.

rollers are easy to use if you take your time and keep the hair that you are rolling kink free,

by the ones that are heated in the little container you roll your hair leave them for about 20 min and bam ms. america. ; )
