Change your tampon every 4-5 hours or as needed. Read the instructions in the box.
Please show yourself some respect by using spell check if you're old enough to have a menses you are old enough to know how to spell the word "feel". In the future, do not discussing your hygiene in a public forum. Ask your mother, guardian, a friend, school nurse or gym teacher for these personal issues.

The instructions on the box tell you.

I think they recommend up to 8 hours (but please don't take my word - check on the box) Any longer and you stand a chance of contracting Toxic Shock Syndrome which can kill you.

I have gone longer than the 8 hours - probably no more than 10 though, and I'm still here to tell the tale. But if you take chances then obviously you will increase the potential risk of TSS.

If your period is light (usually at the end), don't go for the easy option of a heavy flow tampon and leave it in for ages - go for the low flow one and change it more regularly.

NEVER put one in! I know I sound like some crazy person going around posting the same thing butit's important.

"Tampons contain two things that are potentially harmful: Rayon (for absorbency), and dioxin (a chemical used in bleaching). The tampon industry is convinced that we, as women, need bleached white products in order to view the product as pure and clean. The problem here is that the dioxin, can lead to very harmful problems for a woman.

Dioxin is potentially carcinogenic (cancer-associated) and is toxic to the immune and reproductive systems"

Don't leave one in more than 5-6 hours, or till it's saturated and needs changing - that might be sooner. If you leave them in too long you run the risk of toxic shock.

It depends on how heavy your flow is. If you have a lot of blood coming out use a large or super tampon and also mine i can only leave in from 4-8 hours.it also depends on the day of your period. On day 2&3 are my heaviest.

at the max 6-8 hrs. when you leave it in for longer periods of time it increases your risk of toxic shock syndrome which can be fatal. also make sure you don't push it too far in you, it could get stuck. tampons can harbor bacteria read the website i've posted below, it will be VERY helpful

If it is saturated take it out. Otherwise I say 5-6 hours though you can leave them in overnight just not too long because it can cause toxic shock which can be fatal..

No more than 2 hours otherwise you can develop some toxic syndrome. Usually inside the box of tampons there is an instruction sheet and it will tell you there too.
