Don't you miss when music had more variety? And songs were carefully written, not just some trash to make money off of?

Listen to John Mayer. He is an awesome singer/songwriter and isn't superficial. His new album is absolutely beautiful.

Yes, I miss the days of the Eagles, Bob Seger, The Steve Miller Band, the Little River Band, et.al. When it was ok for everyone in the car to listen to the music. Not all, but most of the music nowadays is just sad.

I really hate the way music is now, especially music videos. How many times can someone show a trashy girl in a thong gyrating to "music" with the same beat and same intelligable lyrics and still be called "original". I'm a bit older than most of the people who post here and I listen to Falkenbach. It's music that's heavy, with lyrics that actually tell stories. You gain I.Q. points just listening to it.

I don't think there's more s.ex talk. I just think it's more open these days.

I think there are a lot more remakes and mixing of old songs in rap songs. It's too bad there isn't more creativity out there.

Have you tried listening to Christian music?

You've got to hunt for clever melody and sparkling lyrics, but they are out there. Mostly, I get by on my CD collection, though.

I think some new dominent genre of pop is going to take over. Rock is still the most popular, and rap and country have had a chance to take over and haven't -- for decades!

Could Latin rhythem music be next?
