Why do you want them out? I LOVE my frogs. I love the deep croaking they make.

why would you want to do that??? you created a habitat and ecosystem... they are there because you made them a house. When you build an outdoor pond, you cant expect to just have fish. You will have everything else that comes along with water and fish outside... mosquitos, bugs, dragonflies, frogs, etc. Just take good care of the pond and these things should stay in proportion with each other. Enjoy it... out door ponds are awesome

you cant keep them out but you can re-home the ones that are there now, just catch them and turn them loose in another
lake but others will come, somehow they have water radar
bullfrogs are very territorial, once a male has moved in, he generally won't let another into his pond
frogs really dont like sharing a pond with fish
also remember that a frog can eat a fish the same size as himself

Relocating the frogs is right on! And they do eat fish! I'm talking about the bull frogs. I think all the other frogs usually stay just long enough to breed so don't worry about them.

You can't. Did you ever hear of that old saying, " build a pond, and the frogs
will come."? I had the same problem with my pond. Cats and snakes are
the only things that can help you out. However, enjoy your fish pond -sounds
nice.

although i cant imagine why you would want to keep them out, you can by a typ of screen that is almost clothlike to put over your pond. of course that would take away from the appearance somewhat drastically, you should learn to be "frog friendly" they sing killer songs. there are hundreds of different species of frogs and each species sings its own special songs. also, they eat mosquitos and their swimming little larvae. any enemy of the mosquito is a definate friend of mine.

Frogs are a sign of a healthy ecosystem. Why would you want to remove them? I know how but I'm not gonna tell anyone!

if you don't have fish in the pond, put some bleach in it, it will also keep algae from growing.

Get a pet heron, lol, just kidding. Maybe you could secure a fine grade chicken wire or mesh overtop?
