Ireland - and in GB ( consumption is getting greater although in other European countries it is the reverse) and Russia. Read that in an article recently.
Apparently in Russia, to cut down on vodka , the youth switch to beer for breakfast (from what I read). Healthier............:-)
Tchekoslovakia or some other Easter European country I think has the title..
Should I................google it ?? :-)

Well it is between the Germans and the Irish. I feel that it is the Germans... the beer inventors... it was actually german monks who discovered this ingredience so that they could sip on something filling during a religious fasting season. :) I learned that not long ago!

Did you know that in Australia mines take up aproximatly 1% of the total land area and that is less land area than that taken up by pubs, so I'd say us Aussies like a drink on a warm afternoon

In theory germans should be able to drink hard but they are actually quite easy to beat at drinking games. Us brits are quite hardened drinkers but its not always something to be proud of! The irish and scots drink pretty good. I tell you who drinks sturdy.... the polish! I was there in january and their vodka makes UK vodka sem like tap water! I think I burst my liver!!!!!!!!!!!! and they were knocking back like it was a glass of milk!!!!!!!!!! i bow down to the polish, they are very very good

My money is also on the Germans.My Husband is German ,and he and friends and family all can drink alot.
