I am sorry but, I believe if a woman makes the choice to have unprotected sex what did she think the outcome could be??? The way I see it if a woman doesn't want babies then quit having unprotected sex to make them. By the way a baby has a began a heartbeat at 26 days old and organs have started developing. SO, how could you think abortion is anything besides murder??? If you would not KILL another human being you should not be pro choice!!! There are so many women who can't have children that would gladly trade their lives to be that woman who gets to make the choice to let her baby live or die. NO matter what it is murder. So, for those of you who think abortion is ok tonight when you lay down think about how your unprotected sex created life and how could you KILL your baby. A person dies when there heart stops so that would make anyone who assists the process a murderer!!

Nothings wrong, people can't accept each others beliefs. However, I think it should be legal, the women has the right to choose because it is her body. When abortion is legal women have the option to have a safe abortion, and won't have to resort to dangerous means of abortion (coat-hangers). Those who are pro-life should just not have an abortion if they are against it, but shouldn't make that decision for others.

Bad, in most cases. The problem with the "abortion debate" is that those who are most opposed to abortion are the ones who's policies actually increase abortions.

Think about it.

The easiest way to reduce the number of abortions is to provide a "safety net". Two thirds of women getting an abortion cite "inability to support a child" as the reason.

The easiest way to reduce the number of "unwanted pregnancies" is to teach about birth control (NOT abstinance-only) in school, and provide alternatives, like the morning after pill.

Most "pro-lifers" are opposed to sex-education, welfare, and RU486. Go figure...

I, personally, am pro-life (conception until death, not just conception until birth). I tend to vote pro-choice simply because the "pro-choice" policies tend to reduce the number of abortions, whereas "pro-life" policies tend to increase them, like is currently happening under Bush.

It's not desirable; better self-control, free birth control, and sex education are needed to reduce the number. But anyone against a woman's right to choose had better have at least one adopted child - because someone has got to pay for all those unwanted children's upbringing.

A woman needs to be able to control her body, and a termination in the first and second trimesters is perfectly reasonable; the baby is not viable outside the body, so is not yet capable of independent life. In the third trimester, a termination should only be permitted when the choice is save the fetus, or save the mother.
