Don't forget: 28 CENTS. But he could also just be a shy fish. How long ago did you get him? He might just be nervous about a new tank.

the version is wild guppies are caught in streams and that they have got been breeding certainly without human involvement. they're organic. "relatives" or named guppies come from fish farms and that they have got been chosen for features. This has led to vulnerable genetics as a results of inbreeding. Husbandry sensible there is not any distinction in the care of the two varieties. In a breeding application you're able to introduce wild guppies to a regarded tension to go out the genetic weak spot and breed extra healthy extra advantageous fish. If guppies are only your interest and you do no longer care what hues take place, then you definately could be recommended to blend the two and bring extra healthy fish sooner or later. in case you intend on displaying, you're able to decide to choose a female and male to offer the needed babies.

Those fish should grow to be at least 12", keeping it in a bowl will not only stunt it but will probably kill it. They also produce a lot of ammonia which will kill it if it gets too high which means you will have to clean that tiny bowl everyday and Walmart doesn't usually sell healthy fish to begin with so good luck with him.

Well feeder fish do tend to do that, My goldfish were feeders and they're now almost 2 years old.
He shouldn't be in a bowl since goldfish are pond fish and grow to be almost over a foot long.
But yea, for feeder goldfish, it is normal to do that, they are more vulnerable to disease and other things

Sorry dear but you have bought a feeder fish. these fish are cheap and are bred to be eaten. It may not live that long. These are the fish that you win at the fair. it might not be "normal" for a fish to just sit in one spot for a long period of time, but dont worry, he should be ok. I have had a feeder fish that has lived for a whole year. but as long as he eats and seems not to be disstressed, dont worry.
