thank you everyone...i should have been more specific...I've already been away at a unviersity and am now home going to community college for a bit....apprently at my community college if you are not recieving a degree from them, you do not have to send in any transcripts of any sort, all they said I have to do to register is give me them my info (name, address, ect) and high school and grad date.....i DID obviously graduate from high school...but im trying to go to community college in another state and in order for in state tuition I need to prove residency..soo im wondering if I were to write down a Wisconsin school, instead of an Illinois school where I really graduated high school....are they going to like contact the school to see if I really attended there? yes, i know its sneaky and such, but i paying for school myself and ya know what, ya do what you gotta do!

Yes. You will be required to give them the name and address of the high school you graduated from and they will send a letter to that school to request sealed transcripts. You cannot give them the transcripts yourself, they have to be sealed or they will not allow you to register for classes. The transcripts include your grades from 9th thru 12th grade and the date you graduated.

They normally ask for a transcript. Community colleges have open admissions, so your grades don't matter. They just want to have proof that you graduated from high school.

What? Are you really planning on starting your college career by lying on the application? Then what, go on by plagiarizing and cheating your way through every homework assignment and course exam? You think this will get you an education and qualify you for what job? Give me a break! Rethink your whole approach.

Yes they do. They will require a grade transcript from your high school.

I would think so. The first thing they request is a copy of your transcripts.
