love hurts. it really does. probably the most bitter sweet experience of your life. eh? i had the same problem a while back....i just could not get over him for the life of me. we ended up getting back together like 4 times...over a span of 4 years! THAT hurts. well...it didnt become clear to me that it was all a joke until he cheated on me..a few times...but thats besides the point. i guess...the best thing to do..just keep at what your doing and seeing other people. dont go back to him though...it causes too much drama and bullshit! the reason you have an open heart for him is because YOU know what love is, he doesn't. and there's nothing wrong with that...you have a loving open heart and your probably a really nice gal...just dont let anyone take advantage of that and you'll do fine. stay strong and live long ;) love often and have fun

Give it time and try to put a bit of distance between the two of you so it's easier to move on. Just know that you do deserve someone that loves you, and the sooner you let go, you'll have more time to find someone who will treasure a relationship with you. Of course natural feelings are hard to get rid of... but try to think of all their bad qualities too, assure yourself you can find someone that will be even better than the person you're thinking of, and make it a goal to enjoy life having him (if anything) as just a friend...

Actually, this person probably does love you but is afraid of being hurt themselves. Unfortunatley, your right you must move on, we all have had someone who just dosen't want us but we want them in every way possible and we break our necks to let them know that. I'd say just plain out tell the person how you feel and then as best as you can day by day move on my dear. It will hurt and you will think of this person often, but time does heal all wounds...trust me. You also have to clear your "clutter" to allow for the new to come into your life.
Good luck with this and know that your not alone here and the first step is always the hardest.

There is no way to make anyone love you.
There are literally millions of other guys out there - If you're not just a kid, then it is possible that you had a true love that you'll never forget. Keep the memories, someday you'll look back on this and smile.
Or, if you're just a kid - grow up. Life gets way way worse.

You asked why is it hard to let go of someone when they do not love you anymore? I guess it is fear of rejection and you know in your heart that what he told you is the truth, but for some women it's hard to admit defeat, there is that gleam-er of hope that he would reconsider and come back to you. My advice to you is to try and erase him from your mind, and try to get into other activities that would keep your mind away from having thoughts of him, you need to move on and try to find your dignity and with time you will triumph and will start to live your life again. Good Luck, and I hope with all my heart that with time you will be thinking differently.

I know its hard to get over someone. But you will! the best thing that always worked for me is to hang out with someone new. don't jump head over heels for it never works out. Time heals wounds! And you will heal but until then go out get a new wardrobe maybe even a new do! and not only will ya feel better you'll look good to and allot of attention from the men always does it for me. so cheer up Hun it will get better and before you know it hell see how happy you are and you can say "I'm sorry but who are you again?

It hard to let go because it means there is pain, grief, failure. The best way I've found is to train your mind, "I distinctly remember deciding to forget about him." Say it every time you start to think...not after you have retasted the frosting.
I am a believer and through prayer, God has helped me forget more relationships than I can count.

You just get the urge, you want to grow old with them. Once you loved them, you just can't let go. You're story is beautiful. It's so hard when you've been in a REAL relationship to let go. I suggest forgetting them, if you REALLY want / need to forget them. But if you want another chance, I say go for it!!

Like you said you'll always have a place in your heart for this person. Its seems like this guy's trying to be an @$$ to help you get over him. I know it hurts but just try to avoid seeing him, being around him, and eventually you'll stop thinking about him as much as you do now. Good Luck!!
