when you ask a question, doesn't it give you similar questions that you can look at and read those answers? try it. Except next time I actually take the time to answer one of these questions, i will save it, so i can re-paste it to you.

In a nutshell, the Republicans are SUPPOSED to be for less government and believe that people should be able to help themselves whereas Democrats believe that the government is responsible for helping everyone no matter what. which isn't bad... but the reason I choose republican is because I don't like the fact that I'm working my *** off to pay for someone else to live off me when all they want to do is have babies and do nothing.

there is much, much more to it, but i have to get back to work and can't go into it. hopefully you will get some real answers, and not just people calling each other names

I'll try but some jump party lines and make it confusing. Plus there's two sub categories called conservative and liberal.
A conservative is someone who wants to conserve values and traditions. A liberal is someone who wants to do away with the traditions and set up new ones.
Conservatives tend to be in the Republican Party and Democrats tend have liberals. (yet sometimes these are used as descriptive terms like saying "he's a conservative democrat" could mean that he is conservative for a democrat.
Frankly, I don't think you should worry about which party. Consider the issues not the party. Are you Pro-life? Then look to see if the Candidate is pro-life. I don't agree with blindly following a party, that's what communists do.

Republicans are for strong defense of the USA, low taxes economic development by you and I investing to create wealth. Equality of a chance to do something for ourselves.Republicans are generally against abortion and homosexuality, and generally favor religious expression in public and private life. Republicans want to Fight for the USA when US interests are threatened. Republicans generally see the UN as ineffective and incapable. They are against worldwide socialism, in favor of individual initiative.

Democrats are for the state garanteeing that everybody has the same experience in education, jobs, healthcare, So, democrats neccessarily must have high taxes, high regulation, to make their vision of America Possible. Democrats also are for abortion, homosexuality. They are for worldwide socialism controlled by the UN. Which is why they don't want to defend the USA. They want the United States weak, so that it cannot object to world wide socialism.
