I used to have this problem when I was pregnant and for almost a year after I had my baby. I went to the doctor for it and all she could chalk it up to was stress. Unless it's keeping you up at night, or your waking up in a hot sweat, it's probably not menopause. However, I found that once I went off my birth control pill, all the hot flashes stopped. It was never listed as a possible side effect of my pill, but I found it funny that the hot flashes went away within the first week I stopped taking it. Maybe it is stress for you, or maybe it is just a side effect of one of your medications. Go to your doctor and talk to him or her. Maybe they'll have a solution better then standing outside in a t-shirt in a snowstorm!!!
Good Luck

even though you checked all your med. labels, it may still be one of your medications, or a combination of them all together that is causing you to have "hot flashes". I know that some medications will lower your ability to sweat therefor making you seem really HOT. I know some anti-depressant meds do this and also some anti-seizure meds do too. If i were you, i would put a call in to your doctor, or even the pharmacy, they should be able to answer questions about your medication and if maybe that's why your having these problems. Good luck and hope you feel better soon!!

There is a condition called "hyperthyroidism" where people can get a mega-high metabolic rate, making them hot all the time, hungry, lose weight, be nervous, etc. Does this sound like you?
If so, it can be diagnosed by a blood test and treated.

I'm exactly the same age as you and have exactly the same problems. It's called excessive hydochondria which basically is excessive sweating. I sweat only from my head, it's really embarrasing, but there's no much that can be done for it. However if we are talking arm pit sweating etc, there are operations that can be done, so if it bothers you that much see your GP.

It could be a symptom of peri-menopause, or it could be your meds. Maybe one single med doesn't cause the "hotness', but ti could be the combination of meds. You really should discuss this your doctor.
