This thing is for my brother's science project and I dont know how to explain. I ordered this crystal set but I dont think it will get here on time and I dont know how to get an hypothesis. Please help!!!!

You can form your own crystals...Saturate water w/ salt or sugar and let the water dehydrate. You'll get either crystals of salt or sugar.

Crystals are formed by nucleation and growth. Atoms or molecules in the volume of a crystal have lower free energy than molecules or atoms on the surface. If the crystal is small, most of the atoms are on the surface and the crystal is thermodynamically unstable. As molecules or atoms are added, the free energy of the system is reduced so growth is thermodynamically favourable. A good hypothesis for your project would be that nuclei are needed for crystal growth. The nucleation sites can be any compatible surface that you add. Try dropping a crystal into a super saturated solution and see what happens.

crystals can be made easily by making a saturated solution of any type of salt. Heat it up to dissolve the salt and then let it cool down. You can cool down two ways: rapidly on ice or slowly. Cooling it down slowly will make better crystals. Crystals form through electrostatic forces primarily ionic. Positive and negatively charged ions will attract each other with such strong force that they will create a crystal lattice building crystals. a hypothesis could be that the longer you allow the solution to cool the better the crystals will become. good luck.

it formed be cooling sepersatureted soluion very slooly this cosed the atoms to come togather due to collsion affect and form the crystals \note during this proces don't shik the solution

ex sager in W and but it to cool alon not on the cooler
also you can rach to this be heting the solution below it boling point
