Gordon Brown has no charisma for the top job.
The issue of leader of the party (and country) should be decided by an election.
No one should get the job unelected.

at least brown is more left than blair. Id like Alan Johnson to get it, a real people person with a sound head that always sticks up for the small guy

I think one of the problems with the current labour government is that there are too many 'chiefs' and not enough 'Indians' (no racial pun intended), There are too many rival faction, partly political puppet juries all squealing like the career hungry business people they are. This ultimately leads to dis-harmony and divisiveness.

He's already got them - the Blairs live at No 11. He's already redecorating and put curtains up. He just isn't PM in name.
