There is so much BS surrounding capital punishment. The statement that there are so many wrongfully convicted people that are killed is just flat out incorrect. There are less than 100 total people who have been executed wrongfully in the United States. Of those 100, 91 were proven to have committed at least one other serious felony. So a total of 9 people have been completely innocent and actually put to death. Keep in mind this is before DNA evidence. Also, the fact that it takes more money to execute a criminal than to leave them behind bars is also flat out wrong. It's the lengthy appeals process that is expensive. Simple solution, cut out the appeals process, especially since the inception of DNA evidence. Appeals are pointless when there's no controversy.

I'm against it. We don't hang those bastards. Leathal injection is too easy. That's not a punishment. All the appeals and red tape involved in cap. punishment actually costs more than keeping him alive. Rapists and pedophiles will be punished more justly by the rest of the prison population. As long as there's no chance of parole, they won't be doing it anymore.

I'm against it.

Capitol punishment is the easy way out! Let the murderer sit behind bars the rest of his life.

Also it costs millions in court costs to execute someone! Waste of money.

I'm against it.
1) It has a huge error rate.
2) It gives the criminals an easy way out.
3) I don't believe in an eye for an eye.

The only reason I am against is for the fact that there are so many people who were convicted have been found innocent later. If we could find a foolproof way of conviction, then I would have no problem with it.

I agree with capitol punishment. If a person takes anothers life then they should have to be willing to give their own. The person they killed didn't want to die and they will never have a future so why should their executioner?

I am forgainst it, but I have to say thanks to those inmates who killed my rapist uncle in prison. Those who commit the most heinous crimes should live a long long life in hell, bread, water, darkness, give him the toilet though,so he doesn't die of some infection from feces and urine, those who can be rehabilitated should be, those rapists and pedophiles should be castrated, and those who are repetitive in their actions should be executed.

how about locking them up in solitary confinement with no bed or chairs and a pail for a toilet.let them have just enough food and water so that they can live as long as possible and never let them out of that cell until they are dead.

There comes a time when enough is enough. Unrepentant criminals need not haunt society any longer.
