subject: this (the actual hiding place)
verb: would be (or "is" which is an implied verb)

the subject of the sentence is main thing in the sentence. the sentence is trying to describe a hiding place. therefore the subject is not "we"

the verb of the sentence is implied. you can break down the sentence as: "this is a hiding place"

Try to figure this one yourself...this isn't that difficult, what grade are you in? It's probably taking you longer to type in the sentence than it should to figure out the answer.
