I need to rent a car for my upcoming trip. Rent A Gem charges $20.25 per day plus 14 cents per mile.

At first glance it loks like I should go with Super Savers Rentals. Still, I'm concerned about the per mile charge because I plan to do a lot of driving during all three days of my trip.

How many miles would I have to drive to make the cost of renting a car from Rent A Gem the same as the cost of renting a car from Super Saver Rentals? Describe conditions,if any, that would make Rent A Gem the best buy, and describe conditions, if any, that would make Super Saver Rentals the best buy.

Be sure that you give me all the details of your solutions including all the comparisons that you make in order to determine your answer.

You should look into other rental companies. I am absolutely certain that you can find a better deal. You don't mention the cost of "Super Savers" (both companies you mention I have never heard of) but consider the mileage cost! At $20.25 + 0.14/ mile, if you drive 100 miles in a day (not an unheard of distance) the cost for the day is $34.25! Find a company that offers unlimited miles!

Should everybody know about these companies, Rent A Gem and Super Savers? All I ever hear about is Hertz, Alamo, Avis, Budget, and Enterprise. I've never heard of the companies you've mentioned.

You really should try Enterprise. Enterprise charges about $26 to $36 a day, and they are unlimited mileage.
