Some are better at spelling then others, everyone should have a right to express their opinion. Currently there is no spell check above my typing entry box,and I miss it. I also am not able to post a question and have tried , persistantly I am returned to choose a category, and I have. can anyone help with an answer to this problem ? Thank you

Yes, today's pre teens and teens don't think it's important and most appear to be illiterate at best. I have given up even correcting becaus ethey all throw temper tantrums and act as though nothing matters. The teens and pre teens are a LOST CAUSE so save your breath. The twentysomethings are not much better. A bunch of total idiots!

They do seem to be the appalling standard here. The mainstream conversational English is riddled with syntax errors; I hear
"Where are you at?" on the evening news. It has become accepted as we "dummy up" the USA. Do high school English teachers NOT grade on grammar any longer?
Great question, BTW.

Err, i don't think of Y! solutions's community is any extra valuable or worse than different web content available. maximum web content and boards have those that "can not write to shop themselves." I do only not answer questions that have poor spelling and grammar.

Chill out! Have fun and enjoy the forum. It isn't like we are in second grade here - however many of the questions are posted from grade schoolers.....

No, but I feel strongly that PROPER spelling and grammar SHOULD be prerequisites for this site.

It's the trend racing across the Information Superhighway.

Thanks to the internet, we are one generation away from illiteracy.

Depressing, isn't it?
