Yeah I know about all the other bands that's what I meant with etc. it would take me way too long to list all the bands out there who are punk like The Damned, Black Flag, Stooges, Dead Kennedys, The Jam, etc. now you get what I was trying to say.

Those are great and all- love The Clash, The Dead Kennedys and The Sex Pistols especially... but they're all guys. Exene Cervenka from X is one of my favorite bandmembers... The Rezillos, The Distillers- both good chick punk... Wild Gift by X is a good album, and so is London Calling by The Clash (of course)... Oh- The Velvet Underground, obviously... The Stooges... and even if their music is a bit pop, Bad Religion has got some great political lyrics.

Oh yeah, oh yeah. Paul Simonon is godly on the bass and London Calling is possibly the greatest record ever. That's all.

what about the damned, the buzzcocks, cockney rejects, the business, fear, mau maus, new york dolls, exploited, gbh, and so on and so forth. there is much more to punk than the 3 bands that EVERYBODY knows. learn boy!!! learn!!!
