In NYC, the plane crashed to the residential building that is 50 stories high and inside the plane, it was him. He died several minutes later.

not nearly as much as his wife and 6 year old son...my heart goes out to his family...sorry for your loss mrs.lidle.....

I saw him pitch at the Phillies/Yankees game back in June. Out of all people who could have possibly been piloting that plane... Cory Lidle? I can't believe it.

I won't miss him. I'm a Yankees fan but I don't have an emotional attachment to the players. It's sad that this happened, but I think I'll have gotten over it well before spring training.

Oh... and BTW I heard news reports that his body, along with the instructor, were found on the sidewalk and were already IDed.

look this is one of the sad story im a met fan and im still going to miss him look ppl i dont give a **** what team u like u have to give respect 4 this pitcher. i'm sorry 4 lidle's friend's and family r.i.p. corey lidle

Yes I will and I feel for the family and especially for his SIX year old son....If you have had the Misfortune of losing your father at a young age you become VERY SENSITIVE To this type of story and My heart TRULEY goes out to the family.... R.I.P. Corey
