The Undertones.
They had a raw unpolished edge that inspired thousands of Irish kids to say "Hey, I could do that", and go out and join a band.
They may have only been a bunch of lads from the council estates of Derry, but their music crossed boundaries of class and culture, and touched millions of peoples lives.
For those who said the Pogues, get this.....They aren't Irish.

Thin Lizzy. The Pogues are very good as well. Rory Gallagher of course. U2 are overrated; they are too much up their own ****holes!

U2. Gotta be. I think all or some of Snow Patrol are Irish, too, aren't they?. I LOVE them.
