Why? Because of the Lidle plane crash?
Of course not - it was an unfortunate incident, but this wouldn't even be an issue if Lidle hadn't been involved. Not to downplay a plane hitting a building (especially in New York), but if you cancelled games because of incidents like this, there would be a lot of makeup dates on the schedule.

Probably they will cancel the game tonight. =( It's raining like crazy in New York. Damn, why does it have to rain today? WHY?

It looks like it will be rained out anyway, but they should not cancel the game because of Corey Lidle.

I don't think so.
Most players, including Lidle I'm sure,
would want for baseball to go on in their memory.

No they shouldn't. They will do something for him. But he played for the Yankees not the Mets and MLB wouldn't allow with scheduling and time constraints.

yes the mets loved him more than the Yankees did they where like brothers and they where very devastated and they need a game off to remember him and all the fun times they had together.............R.I.P. COREY............
