We were there for their Oktoberfest a couple of weeks ago. That was fun. The village looks like a European Alps town. It's very picturesque- so you can take pictures! During the summer, the ski lifts carry mountain bikers up the mountains. It actually snowed on us while we were there so I am sure the lifts are no longer carrying bikers, but it's a good summer option.

There are world class restaurants. Pick up a bunch of free brochures at the information center as you enter town. They some good guides with restaurants and their menus. The Vail newspaper had a ton of good current event info, too.

There are white water rafting companies and fly fishing excursions. If you are staying at a hotel, the concierge can give you lots of suggestions. We stayed at the Holiday Inn Apex. It was reasonable, not anything special, but the service is good.

Look into farmers' markets. They tend to sell more than just local food.

The Skiing and Snowboarding Hall of Fame/Museum is there as well.

You will find plenty of good cold weather gear shops. Some have really good deals in the warmer months.

We liked The Tap Room best for nightlife. There is a free bus that runs until 2 a.m. to and from most hotels in the area. So that was a plus!

Hope that helps.

Fox hunting is very popular and the foxes come from all over to be hunted.
Just find a night club that is busy and have a good hunt.

stroll around the village - get exhilaration from the mind-blowing eating places - bypass procuring. if your up for a thrill, journey the gondola to experience ridge, a mountaintop night-time experience park. you may bypass tubing, ice skating or perhaps snow mobiling. in case you only decide to take a seat down back you may take a seat by way of the fire.
