iv been TTC for 6 years now, and nothing...i need help asking a doctor for help. what kind of doctor should i go too??
i am so clueless on this!!
pls help!!

you have waited 5 years longer than you should have but at least you want to go now. i sure hope you aren't 42 or 43 years old now. you want to see an infertility specialist, many women start with their general ob/gyn and get referrals.

Your regular OB/GYN should be able to refer you to a fertility specialist. You will go in as a couple and fill out a lot of questions and answer even more questions by Dr.'s and nurses. They will get you started on monitoring your cycle, like with an ovulation predictor kit, and they will also check your boyfriend's sperm, yes, he'll have to do it into a little cup. I'm not sure what kind of tests they will run on you, for one thing a complete blood work up and pelvic exam, possible scans of your ovaries and other female parts to make sure there is nothing blocking implantation,like scar tissue. Good Luck and I hope you can be patient for this, it can feel like it takes forever, but it sounds like after 6 years of trying you can handle this. Good Luck.
