If I argue with my wife I can bet I'll lose

and if I keep anwswering these types of questions
I'll never get the lawns cut

so yes! I've foretold the future, but otherwise ..

the future is created by what we do

There are ways to predict the future of human affairs, yes. The simplest is to make a guess (based on what you heard on TV) and then assume its correctness on faith.

The next better way is to research historical trends and project them into the future.

The next better way is to find out why things historically moved as they did, determine whether those reasons are still valid, and modify your expectations accordingly.

The next better reason is to discover who, really, decides what's going to happen and what those people's wishes are. You can pretty much count on powerful people to do what brings them more power. Once you know what that is, you can guess how they will act and maybe even the means through which they will act. Then you estimate how much it's going to cost them when other people react and decide whether the powerful people are powerful enough to keep on going anyway.

Nobody knows the future, even of his/her own life. It is really supertitious to believe the fortune tellers of any categories in the societies as well as on the Internet.
Only the Messengers of the One True God know all things past, present and future. Of course, it is not easy to distinguish the true Messenger from the false ones. Man has to be humble, sincere and patient in seeking for Him in order to be blessed with His Divine Guidance.

the future is all about prediction and probability. i dont think anyone can tell exactly what is going to happen but if you have an understanding of people and common behaviors, its pretty easy to predict whats going to happen. my friend and i do this all the time with girls, all you have to do is talk to them for five minutes and you can tell them all kinds of things about themselves they havent told you based on common everyday knowledge. i can always tell what a female friend of mine is doing on her computer based on how shes looking at it and her typing patterns. i do belive in things echoing back and forth through time and being able to predict them but i dont believe in knowing absolutly that youre going to roll a six when youre gambling
