Well, I know this sounds stupid, but you just had surgery and it's going to hurt a bit. As far as swallowing, you are going to have some difficulty. Between the surgery and some of the meds they gave you, you will lose some function there, but it should return eventually.

its hurt because part of your body have just been 'cut' !of course its hurt because not only its the passage of drink n food, the air you breath passess through too !
don't worry, it would heal eventually, for the time being follow strictly the medication prescribed by your doctor n drink [you must try hard even if its hurt like hell] lots of water !

because you just had a few body parts SURGICALLY REMOVED. of course its going to hurt. just like if you scraped your elbow, it has to heal.
