I have been wearing jeans and t shirts since I was born. I want something new so I don't look dull. I'm a guitarist so please don't reccomend anything "Gangsta" looking.

Try torn faded jeans and black leather jacket, no shirt or t shirt.

How about some combats? Thats not really preppy. With some thin sweatshirts and boots or trainers?
Or stick with the jeans but wear a casual shirt with them? Maybe when it gets chilly find a casual jumper to go over the top? Can go with shoes, boots or trainers?
A very attractive male friend of mine wears ripped jeans with either a casual shirt or t-shirt (I know...you said no t-shirts!) with a funky blazer. It totally transforms the jeans/t-shirt combo and makes him look gorgeous! Add a big knotted tie for something more formal perhaps?
Again stick with jeans/t-shirt but wear a loose, open shirt over the top. Keep everything else plain but make the shirt funky, colourful or patterned to jazz it up?
Sorry if you think they're awful ideas! Its all I can currently think of!

i think you should decide for yourself. here are some websites for clothing so you can get some ideas of what you like. even though i know you said not preppy they are kinda preppy but it depends on what you wear and how you wear. also you can always add some of your own stuff.... like a sweatshirt from your school team or a tee-shirt from a vacation or sporting event. anyway here they are:

This is my area lol. I am also a guitarist ad lead vocals in a alternative punk band. You should shop from Hot topic and http://www.clandestineindustries.com Clandestine is Pete wentz's label. Hoodies are hott on guys. lol. Just look at what Pete Wentz, Ryan Ross, Brendon Urie, William Beckett and other hot guys in bands wear and do their style as cause that is hott.

Do you wear alot of black?? I dont want to judge people who are in bands but usually their wardrobe consits of black, white, and hot pink. Wear something with a collar and cargo pants. I dont know if you spike your hair or not but being a girl around your age I hate when guys spike their hair, so if you do STOP

ok, I think you just need a look that make you feel confortable. You can wear this beach skirts and tighs shirts, most of the time with your belly showing

wear whatever you feel is comfortable, actually as long as you change/wash your clothes daily, wearing the same style/day is not bad.
