We went to the Christmas party two years ago. They close Magic Kingdom early except for those that bought tickets for the party. (By the way, if you buy tickets it looks like you have to leave the park and can't come back until party time, but that's not how they do it. They actually shuffle you off to one side or other of the park and you can ride things and eat dinner, etc.) They have snow blowing from the tops of the buildings on Main Street, a special Christmas parade and free cookies and hot chocolate all over the park. It's really festive and fun. Kind of expensive though, but you pretty much have the park to yourself and can ride anything you want without any lines.

I have never been there at Christmas time. We are planning on going this year though, even though we just got back in September! I really, really want to see all the holiday decorations!

From what I have read the Very Merry Christmas Party sounds like fun. And I am sure it will be extra special for your daughter, since it will be her birthday! Make sure when you go to the parks (and also at your resort if you are staying on Disney property) go to Guest Relations and let them know that it is your daughter's birthday. They will give her a button pin to wear and then she will get extra attention from the cast members!!!

Have a great time! And to your daughter..."Happy Birthday!"

It will be great! Take a sweatshirt as it can get cold in the evening time. But it "snows" and they have hot cocoa. You will have a fabulous time. It is such a great place all year, but Christmas time is even better with all the events at the parks, resorts, etc.
Have fun! And I will be there next year!
