If I was a witness and knew who committed the crime, I could not stand back and ignore the situation. It would eat me up to know that I could have stopped a killer, but didn't. I would turn him in regardless if a cash reward was involved b/c it's the right thing to do.

If I witnessed a crime in progress, I'd try to stop it.

Even if there wasn't a reward, I tell the police all I knew.

Helping the needy is very admirable.

Go to the police and demand to have protection first away from your home. Just let them know you will only tell if they give you written verification of protection.

It will be hard becuase you will lose contact with everyone you love until the trial is complete but the government will have to protect you. And you will have a temporary identity.

the reward is irrelevant. stand up and be counted. Simply because for evil to triumph, it is necessary only that good people do nothing.
