I've tried searching on the internet but with little success - I've never done anything like this before and don't know how to start - any tips? - I need to find a reputable supplier and want to start in a relatively small way.

Actually, one of the best ways to start selling on E-Bay is to buy and resell on E-Bay. Find out what these dolls usually go for on E-bay, and then try to buy a few well below that price.

You could also try contacting the manufacturer directly. They can probably get you in contact with a supplier.

Also, if you already know what they will sell for on E-Bay, check your local retailers. I've found some things cheaper at Wal-Mart than I could sell them on E-Bay! Make sure you REALLY know what your doing on that one, though. However, lots of times you can do this easily if a certain retailer has a good sale.

I think branded toys such as Bratz will be supplied to major retailers, I don't think you will have much joy there.
Maybe you should set your sights on 2nd hand (but good) condition ones.
PS. Bratz have been around a while, Trollz seem to be the one for this Christmas. This is only my opinion.
