I see a lot of annoyed avoidance in the answers. It is a bit of a mystery though. It has puzzled me as well.
Maybe butch females could hook up with effeminate males & vica versa. That would keep the homophobes happy.
I have thought about it and I'm sorry I don't have an answer for you either. I know a few gay people & they don't like the real, in their words," poofy ones" either.

What about lesbians? They act like men to attract women. That just goes to show that this gay thing is not natural at all, it's all an act.

Have you ever considered they are not 'acting' anyway - they are just being themselves? Other than having a baby what actions are truly femme and masc? Society is the one that labels things......think of American in 1700's men wore stockings and flats and wigs with little bows, but it wasn't at all considered femme. You just need to broaden your horizons and realize you should not associate actions with genders.

because when some are young they feel they can only relate to females so they over time pick up feminine qualities and behaviors
