Basically, Cory Lidel's plane crashing into a building in Manhattan has just shown Al Queda that air travel in America IS STILL UN POLICED, STILL SUBJECT TO CHAOS and GUESS WHAT? STILL ABLE TO SEE PLANE CRASHES INTO BUILDINGS.


ISn't it true BUSH HAS DONE NOTHING to secure our boarders or our airspace?

Isn't it true all we have is INSECURITY since years after 9/11, BAGGAGE STILL ISN'T SCREENED, the 9/11 commission report RECOMMENDATIONS have NOT BEEN FOLLOWED and EVERY DIME OF OUR DEFENSE BUDGET IS BEING SPENT IN IRAQ... where geurrilas SWIM IN THE SEAS of the people ATTACKING US TROOPS EVERY 15 MINUTES according to investigative reporting (Bob Woodward) and the recent N.I.E. which was partly declassified by the government?

Watch the brain dead will defend Bush to his end at impeachment. What I always wonder is why are they not in Iraq? If they still support Bush then they should go fight in his "war on terror". New York should be a no fly zone when the orange level is up. I would ground all non commercial aircraft. Let them take a cab it would be good for the working class cab drivers. The Head of the department of "home land security" should be fired.

BTW, Good answer on gas price. It was $2.30 here in Ohio. Bush could end federal taxes since he wants to give "ALL" Americans a tax cut. We would not have this problem now if Republicans had not of recended the price caps that were in place under Democrats.

Do you want Bush to have antiaircraft missles perched on various rooftops in NYC and spy cameras everywhere to monitor suspicious air activity? You'd have the ACLU screaming bloody murder...not that they don't already.

The plane was not commercial air traffic and it is only commercial air traffic that is screened as far as protecting the borders what do you want him to do? Place federal troops at the border? Sorry but the Constitution says no. Not even congress can do that.

I'm suprised people are calling for impeachment because the clock has run out on that one. Even if Democrats gained a major majority in both houses it took 5 years to get the perjury impeachment started against Clinton. Bush has two more years and then it's off to retirement and a book tour. Plus the only thing you could impeach Bush for would be submitting a false report to congress and that in itself would be hard to prove.

I won't even acknowledge the 9/11 conspiracy rhetoric that's been disproven even by Bush's opponents.

Anyone can.
It is just a small 4-seater plane. It doesnt do that much damage.

If you want freedoms like being able to buy a plane to be blocked then you need to live in a different country because you are not American.

as being part of the militarty, my job is to watch and prtoect the air space. that is my specific duty in the air force. personal civilian planes are not of our responsability. granted bush is a dick, but that is not something that is monitored by our radars. we have a base in rome new york and we watch military and passenger aircraft. NOT personal planes flying 1200 feet in the air. so the question you shoudl be asking is, why did he not see the building? was he on drugs/ drunk? was it a medical issue, DO NOT blame the military and mroe specifically MY job in the military.
