The free trial that they do have for Sims 2 PC is the Sim creator module. You can get it here:

Other free stuff but this is different! Free trial for the ONLINE version of the game, called "Sims Online". It is a completely different game with graphics more like Sims 1. After the free trial it costs you a monthly fee to keep your membership.

The Sims 2 for PC is an incredible game. But not all computers can run it. Before breaking your back to get the game -- Do check out your system specs to be sure you actually can play the game. The expansions will need yet more resources so they have separate tests:

I don't think there is any site, apart from illegal sites. I reccomend just buying The Sims 2. The Sims 3 will be out soon, so The Sims 2 will drop dramaticcally in price. Good luck.

i really dont think there is a demo for it....i looked all over the net i couldnt find one, you should just buy the game like i did, its awsome and worth every penny :-)
