I often wonder this, I also wonder what it will be like 50,000 years. The world has been here for millions of years and might be here for millions more (even though there will always be people screaming the sky is falling and the world is coming to an end). I cant even imagine it, my mind is just too small.

Way over populated, unless we have a 3rd world war, the 4th world war will be faught with stick and stones. 50% of the worlds species will be extinct (that is acually a fact if we continue our ways)

Fifty years from now the "world" as you know isn't going to exist. The Mayan calander only goes until the year 2012. So, looks like we have a few more years left to live it up.

A lot warmer, with no polar bears, or just as importantly no polar ice caps. Prepare for some radically different maps as we lose a lot of land to the sea.

oooh scary thought-provoking question.....
I am thoroughly scared and excited as to what is to come in the future......am scared because of the state of the world in respect to terrorism, politics etc and excited about the technology and the discoveries to be made!!
