No one here can really answer your question, you need to wait a week or two to take another test. OR the biggest one of all..GO TO A DOCTOR and take a blood test.

We've had quite a rash of this kind of question lately. As you may be aware, anxiety (including worrying about being pregnant) can mess up your period. Since it was only five days before your period started, you probably are not pregnant. The pregnancy tests are pretty accurate, but you might check the information in the leaflet that came with it on statistics about false positives vs. false negatives.

Why you kids don't think about this anxiety before you go too far, I have not yet figured. Are you unaware of the fact that there are satisfying things you two can do together that do not risk pregnancy? Get yourself a copy of "The Joy of Sex" by Alex Comfort. It's old, but the information has not changed appreciably since humans became humans, probably even longer.

You had sex 5 days before you started your period. Normally, women ovulate 12-16 days before their period and the egg is only viable for about a day. So, it's unlikely based on the timing that you could have gotten pregnant. Add to that the fact that you got your period on schedule AND that you had a negative pregnancy test and I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that you're not pregnant.

Go to the dr. and take a test, or wait seven more days and take another one yourself. The first test I took was negative, and I waited a week and took another and it came out positive.

no if you've had your period since the last time you had sex then no you are not pregnant. other factors like diet, exercise, stress (over whether or not you're pregnant perhaps) can affect periods
