Burping results from indigestion so people can have indigestion while they sleep, particularly after a large evening meal. People can also hiccup in their sleep.

well u can pass gas. my little brother does it all the time and he does burp in his sleep every once in a while! wierd! but that's just him!

Yes - usually if you have some sort of stomach bug, or maybe reflux and you ate late and are sleeping flat.
