I always found it strange how people act. My current example would be the story as follows. 2 years ago when I first started college, I was a very bright student who got decent to high grades (yet people did not now) and throughout life I had found that if I act as if I am not as intelligent as people they tend to like me better, this semester after I lost 2 of my best friends I decided to stop using a mask to cover my real self. When I returned this semester I stopped acting less intelligent than I really am, didn't make an effort to hide my grades, and even help my "old" friends with their homework assignments now. My "old" friends reactions were what I find strange, they no longer hang around me anymore, and the reason why being because "I've changed". Now I have no friends or acquaintances that I talk to anymore…better off for me, now I have more time to work on what is truly important.

Isn’t it strange the way people act?

Also apparently thinking a 92% grade on a test is strange as well.

Also apparently thinking a 92% grade on a test is a low grade is strange as well. This had been cut off, sorry.

It's often the case, so I've heard, that loneliness is a problem for people in your ( it would be pretentious to say our) situation.
The grades you get as a reflection of the effort you put in may well provoke jealousy from others who have to slog to get even half-decent grades. That is understandable, after all, the rewards are not in proportion to the effort. In athletics for example the winner has to put in the training to be in top form, maybe even more than the others, so there's some justice in it , but getting good grades because you're a quick learner or just have an excellent memory seems to them a handicap they can never overcome.
But it doesn't help much knowing this does it?
I think maybe the way to tackle this problem (if it is a problem) is to develop the social skills you need to put people at ease and find topics of common interest other than academic achievement
Participate in sports, don't worry about making a fool of yourself and the others may well see they can beat you with THEIR own natural abilities. That evens it up a bit.
Males are competitive, think how isolated you'd be if you were good at everything :-)

Definitely strange. Sad too. Unfortunately something I have found in my whole 40 years of being alive is that as you get older you do get wiser and through that wisdom you learn who your friends truly are!

Perhaps you should look for those other people that are like the actual you....they might be going through a simular experience and you could bond with them...

not really, what a loser likes is someone the same as them or worse. then they can feel better about their own inadequacies without feeling threatened by anyone who wants to improve themselves. be proud of your achievements without bragging and true freindship will follow.good luck
