really, do NOT go deleting stuff using the command prompt if you don't know what you're doing - you'll just end up deleting vital files somewhere down the line and screwing up your computer to the point where windows will no longer run. trust me on this, you've a 90% chance of killing your windows by using the del command without understanding fully how to use it. plus you wouldn't be able to delete the file(s) anyways because they'll probably be running which will result in an 'access denied' message when trying to delete them.

try this:
· safe mode
· CTRL + ALT + DEL
· processes
· msnapps.exe
· end process
· do a search for msnapps.exe then delete it
· restart your PC and it should be gone.

if you notice msn acting strangely after that you'll probably have to reinstall it but msn content plus should be gone.

I'm wary about using this method to delete MSN content. There are a lot of files associated with it & you may end up messing up your computer's registry. Make sure you're absolutely sure about the files you're deleting.

del test.tmp = Deletes the test.tmp in the directory that you currently are in, if the file exists.

del c:\windows\test.tmp = Delete the c:\windows\test.tmp in the windows directory if it exists.

del c:\windows\temp\*.* = (* is for wild character(s)) *.* indicates that you would like to delete all files in the c:\windows\temp directory.

del c:\windows\temp\?est.tmp = (? is a single wild character for one letter) This command would delete any file ending with est.tmp such as pest.tmp or zest.tmp

Type del(space)and the directory + name of the file. Be careful with this! :-)=
