You should not take grapefruit juice with meds, it can make them stronger. Sodium is salt, so it can make your blood pressure go high, which can affect your heart. It also makes you retain water, which is not again, good for your body and heart. That is what is in it, grapefruit, water and sugar. Lay off the sodium, it also swells your stomach,& take in empty calories. One can of soda with reg. sugar is about 150 calories.

Salt can raise your blood pressure and cause you to retain water. Many of us have to watch our salt intake because our bodies don't process it well.
